My Story
My journey into photography began at sixteen, when I stumbled across a box of photography magazines—and I was instantly hooked. I was captivated by the power of photography to transform everyday scenes into compelling images, and to capture fleeting moments of connection between people and their environment.
At the time, I was studying engineering at Chippenham Technical College. By chance, the college was also running evening City & Guilds photography courses, and I enrolled—marking the beginning of my long-standing relationship with the camera. Over the following years, I immersed myself in the craft, experimenting with a wide range of photographic techniques and continually refining my skills.
Between 2000 and 2006, while working for one of the UK’s largest companies, I was responsible for developing several campaigns and was given the opportunity to undertake the photography for these projects. This experience reinforced my passion for photography and led me to further my professional development through the Royal Photographic Society. In 2003, I formally established my own photography practice.
In 2006, I made the life-changing decision to leave a secure career and pursue my ambition of working full-time as a professional photographer. Since then, I have completed over 500 commissions across the West Country, delivering high-quality imagery for a wide range of clients.
